FYI - Please see the email below that was sent to all coaches and administrators this morning.

Are You Ready . . . .

It's almost time for the fall season to begin!  I know that this email is long, but it contains a lot of important so please read the entire email.

Fall Checklist:

Concussion Certification:  Is your concussion certificate up to date? - UYSA supports Utah State Law for concussion protocol and awareness and requires that the CDC course MUST be taken annually and a new certificate uploaded.  It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a current certificate uploaded for the entire season.

Code(s) of Conduct:  Both the Parent Code of Conduct and the Coaches Code of Conduct are attached to this email.  Coaches you have accepted and agreed that it is your responsibility and you are accountable for the conduct of the players, team officials, and spectators affiliated with  your team. Please remind your parents that they have also acknowledged and agreed to not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, parent or spectator.  Coaches, I would encourage you to hold a parent meeting and remind everyone that unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.  If it happens the individual and or team may face disciplinary action and may also lead to coach suspensions as well as parents and spectators not being allowed to attend games.

Coaching Code of Ethics

Have you heard about the Sideline Project -a FREE, coach facilitated program to improve sideline behavior?  It's simple to run and the results have been impressive when it comes to raising awareness about the differences between Supportive, Distracting and Hostile Communication and putting an end to Hostile and Distracting communication during games.

To learn more about the Sideline Project -  FOLLOW THIS LINK  Stay tuned for more details but in the meantime check this out!

Help and Resources: are available on the UYSA website utahyouthsoccer.net under the  resources tab.  On the lefthand side there is "Team Manager FAQ's" - here you can find the               instructions for:

  • How to Club Pass
  • How to print a Game Day Roster
  • Reschedule Policy & Instructions
  • How to enter scores
  • How to contact the Coach or Admin of the opposing team
  • How to enter Jersey #'s
    • Please be aware that players that are club passed will not show a jersey number, they will have to be hand written on the printed game day roster.  For every game that you are using club pass players you will need to print a roster and hand write in the unique player number.

Goal Safety:  I included the CPSC recommendations in the last email but as a reminder, please be aware of goal safety.  Goals that are properly anchored/counterweighted are less likely to tip over.

Emails:  Please make sure that your email address is current.  You can also access older emails in   your online account in the message center.

SCHEDULES & RESCHEDULES:

We anticipate that schedules will be released no later than Monday August 6, with the exception of the Girls U15 and Girls Provisional team schedules.

Girls U15 teams who are impacted by players making their high school teams must submit a list of players and the high school they are playing at no later than August 6th in order to facilitate scheduling for this age group.   We anticipate having this age group schedule completed no later than August 13.

If the reschedule button is no longer visible - you have missed the window to reschedule the game and we are unable to restore the button or reschedule the game for you.  For example:  Game scheduled for Saturday August 18 at 8:00 a.m. would need to be rescheduled and accepted no later than Monday August 13 at 8:00 a.m.
